The Tardis lands in Trogir
| 30 November 2009: The Tardis landed in Trogir this morning. Trogir on the Dalmatian Coast in Croatia is the current filming location for the BBC series Dr Who. The particular show is apparently set in Venice but it is believed Croatia provided a more welcoming environment for filming. Trogir was subject to Venetian rule for many years and is an ideal location. The medieval town features Venetian architecture and although various sets have been established during the past few days, the town has not needed a lot of work to resemble Venice. The town awaits the arrival of gondolas and of course the new Dr Who, UK actor Matt Smith. The series will be broadcast in late 2010. |  |
