Adriatic Cottages is owned and operated by Peter Thomas and Justine Noy.
In Australia, Peter and Justine have together operated a number of successful small businesses in tourism and service industries. We have travelled extensively in Western Europe and Eastern Europe, including Turkey, Hungary, Slovakia, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia.
Over a number of years, we have constantly returned to the Dalmatian coast in Croatia, where we never tire of the Mediterranean climate, the food, the people, the history and the beauty of the Adriatic.
Each trip strengthens our belief that Eastern Europe is one of the world’s most relaxing and exciting destinations. Wanting to share our experiences with others, we established Adriatic Cottages + Tours. Our enthusiasm continues to grow for this region of the world which is relatively unexplored by mainstream tourists and awaiting people with an adventurous spirit and a love of European hospitality and culture.
When in Australia, we are based in the beautiful Macedon Ranges of Victoria. We have renovated an apartment and a house in the UNESCO listed medieval town of Trogir (north of Split). You will enjoy staying in our accommodation which is of a high standard.
We are also assisting a friend with the renovation of a property in the historic mountain town of Arbanasi near Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. More about the availability of this property during 2013.
Trogir is a yachting mecca and an ideal starting point for visits to the beaches and islands of the Dalmatian Coast including Hvar, Brač, Vis and Korčula.

During winter you will find Corey carving it up at any of the mountains around Australia and New Zealand. When winter is over, the fun and adventure does not stop. Corey has an enthusiastic passion for all adventure sports, including mountain biking, surfing, boating, fishing, snorkelling and scuba diving. Rebecca spends her days working as an executive assistant at one of Australia's leading law firms. While Rebecca works hard, she manages to take time out to fulfil her love of travel and adventure. She has travelled throughout Asia, Western Europe and Eastern Europe, including Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia and Croatia. Corey and Rebecca are renowned for their love of travel, either packing up the 4x4 and tent and taking off for a relaxed trip within Australia or trekking overseas in search of their new adrenalin high and sourcing new places to take Adriatic travellers. |
We all personally deliver the tours and look forward to introducing you to Eastern Europe. Traveller and author Michael Palin calls it New Europe. Others say it is the Mediterrean as it once was.
We will introduce you to the delights of Croatian food and help you find the best restaurants, the freshest seafood, the tastiest grills and the best Šljivovica.
Eastern Europe has so much to offer. Gourmet tours, hiking, yachting, skiing, kayaking, walking through history, learning to interact with multiple cultures, spectacular scenery by train or bus and island hopping.
